How to Move/Copy Selection From One Open Document Into Another Using Drag and Drop Method in Photoshop

Selections are one of the building blocks of Photoshop and one of the most useful and frequently used features. One of the less covered option is to copy or duplicate active selection into another open document. There are multiple ways to accomplish this task. I will cover probably most popular way using drag and drop method. Simple and easy: click inside selection then drag it into another document. You must pay attention on two things before attempting to duplicate selection: some of the selection tools must be active and New selection option in the Options bar must be turned on/highlighted.

In this quick video tip I will explain to you steps to quickly copy (move, duplicate) selection from one open document into another in Adobe Photoshop.
