Reset Preferences to Solve the Problem With Strange Photoshop Behavior
There are tons of threads on Adobe forums with a single solution: reset preferences. Whenever Photoshop start with strange behavior the very first thing to try is to reset preferences before asking for help online. Here are some example problems which are solved by resetting preferences:

How to reset preferences in PhotoshopThere are a couple of ways to do the same job or to reset preferences. There isn't the best way, any of the methods will work just fine. Here is the list with an explanation:
Method 1 Keyboard shortcut while starting Photoshop. You can hold down all modifiers (Ctrl/Cmd + Alt/Opt + Shift) while clicking on Photoshop icon to launch it.
Method 2 Search for and delete .psp file. Method 3 Check Reset Preferences On Quit from Preferences > General. The third method which I will present is to use a built-in function which is available from the Preferences > General section. Click on Reset Preferences On Quit, confirm then relaunch Photoshop.
