Colt - Photoshop Retouching Tutorial

"Colt" is a new Photoshop video tutorial from Morgana Creely at Image Cinematic. This intermediate level tutorial takes the user through combining a background and foreground image,  retouching techniques, and adding filters and effects to create a cinematic image that tells a story. RAW background and models images are included to allow the user to follow along.

Tutorial details

In this course we will combine two images (a subject and a background) to create an image that tells a story.

Each stage of the retouching process is broken down into short lectures of approximately 5 to 10 minutes each, with the overall course taking almost an hour.

We will cover:

- The lighting used in the image of the model
- Working in non-destructive layers, labeling and grouping layers
- Creating fog from scratch
- Retouch your background
- Skin retouching, including retaining subtle skin texture, and using the patch tool
- Using the liquify tool to even out the size of the models eyes
- Basic Colour retouching through gamma correction and layer masks
- Combining the model with the background location
- Resizing the background for composition
- Adding a slight depth of field
- Completing the composite of the model and background with layer masks and opacity
- Adding the fog, filters, and making the image "pop"!

You will not need an additional third party Photoshop "plugins" for this course; just a working copy of Photoshop [CS4, CS5, CS6 or CC].
