Lighting Effects Filters and Sample Files for Adobe Photoshop CS6
As you may already realize new version Adobe Photoshop CS6 does not have Lighting Effects Classic which was present in CS5 in Filter > Render sub-menu. Instead there are are new Lighting Effects which requires compatible video card to work. If you are running Photoshop CS6 on Windows XP, Lighting Effects filters wont be listed as available. Are the old Lighting Effects definitely gone from Photoshop? Not exactly, Lighting Effects Classic are available as optional plugin. By the way Filter menu is shortened although there are many new filters available in new version (Adaptive Wide Angle, Oil Paint, Blur Filters). Artistic filters are moved to Filter Gallery (Artistic, Brush Strokes, Sketch,Texture), not removed from Photoshop. If you want to see artistic effects listed as in earlier version go to Preferences > Plug-ins > Show All Filter Gallery Groups and Names.
