Dummy type layers
Dummy (empty) type layer you can create by selecting Type tool and drawing paragraph container without to type anything inside. Dummy type layer is also created when you click with type tool anywhere on canvas to add point type but without to type anything. In both cases if you confirm with Enter or by clicking confirmation checkmark in Options bar new type layer will be created without any visible content.
